Collaborate stage products give product managers superpowers at the collaborative stage of the product lifecycle. The mission of the Product Awards is to reward the products that help product managers at each stage of the product lifecycle. We brought together some of the brightest product minds around and put together an Awards Advisory Board to help with the process. Twitter Senior Product Head, Laura Burkhauser, is the Awards Advisory Board member representing the Collaborate stage. The 2020 Product Awards are just about a week away. We’re ready to announce the finalists.

For collaborate stage products, Burkhauser assisted us in narrowing down the field. For the 2020 Product Awards, there were more than 2,000 nominations.

What does it mean to be a Collaborate stage product?

For the Collaborate stage products, there are three categories. They are:

  • Listen to Customers: One of the most important ways that you can keep your antennae out for the next amazing product idea is to listen to your customers.
  • Track Trends: It’s also important to look around you at what is happening in business, technology, society, etc. Stay apprised of trends so you don’t get left behind.
  • Analyze Competition: A good PM will keep track of the competition without letting it limit their thinking. This can mean tracking emails, press releases, traffic/keywords, and digital product updates.

Special Thanks

We want to take a moment to thank Heap and Tugboat Logic, who are sponsors for the 2020 Product Awards. The ability to reward honor these products helps to show product managers the world over what the best products are that give them superpowers at each stage of the product lifecycle. We appreciate their participation in this endeavor.

Make a Difference

We’re selected a few charities to honor at this year’s Awards. They are charities that represent some of the products that matter the most: food, water, and shelter. We’ll be making a donation to each charity, as well as matching, dollar-for-dollar, every dollar raised between now and the Product Awards. Those charities are charity: water, Project Open Hand, and Miracle Messages. You can click here to donate to one or all of them and help make a difference. You can also share that post on your social channels to help spread the word!
