Head of Product at Loop Commerce, a Synchrony company, Subha Shetty, will be speaking to us via webinar on Oct. 7 to discuss how to craft an effective product-led go-to-market strategy.

During her talk, Shetty will discuss the active role of product managers during the product launch. She’ll also talk about how it benefits the official launch. Shetty will also provide steps a product manager can take to be more hands-on with the launch of the product they built.

Shetty is the Head of Product at Loop Commerce, a Synchrony comapny, and works directly with design and analytics within the company. She has provided a go-to-market strategy for products in companies like eBay, Walmart.com, and Upwork and sponsors events for Women-in-Product. Shetty is a mentor to leading start-up accelerators like 500start-ups & Founders Institute and an active advisor & angel investor.

Netflix. During these challenging COVID times, it entertains me, helps me connect to my roots and offers me an escape to different worlds and topics on a daily basis.

Why Does Product Management Matter to You?

It is critical that customers use and give feedback on the products we launch. More often than not, I find PMs exhausted just building the product and do not have the tools or energy to focus on the launch, which is like giving up in the last mile of a marathon. Some companies have dedicated product marketers that handle the market strategy, however resource constraints exist even there to do everything on our wishlist. When PMs play a stronger role in launching their products, it helps everyone – message becomes clearer, adoption increases, feedback loop continues and many more benefits…its a win-win!

What Makes a Great Product?

Henry Ford said – “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”

A great product is one that solves a customer need or problem without the customer even asking or it.

What Makes a Great Product Manager?

A great product manager knows how to achieve product-market fit. They also have excellent decision-making capabilities and are decisive and enjoy problem-solving in a cross-functional setting.
