Products That Count is looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Community Partnerships Director to operate, build and fine-tune the customer acquisition function for the community. To be successful in this role, you will need a track record of closing sales and partnership opportunities with top brands in the technology industry. Responsibilities:

  • New customer development: Identify, uncover, and develop account opportunities. Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the organization. Qualify prospects effectively to optimize the sales cycle. Upsell, cross-sell, negotiate and close sponsorship and fundraising deals. 
  • Partnership growth: Nurture relationships with existing partners/sponsors, while maximizing category yield in all major categories through the sale of fully integrated partnerships.
  • CRM: Track all opportunities and customer details in the CRM. Prepare reports on goals, sales and prospects. 
  • Leadership: Once established, builds the partnership function for the organization through hiring, team building, managing and working cross-functionally with staff and management on corporate partner related programs to achieve goals.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  •  5+ years of consultative sales, partnerships and/or customer acquisition experience in the technology industry with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, high energy and a customer-focused background with at least with experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects)
  • Some knowledge or experience building teams, hiring, interviewing and mentoring sales personnel helpful (not a must but this position has the ability to grow into a team leader)
  • Proven professional history of achieving sales results, including carrying a quota > $1M
  • Proficient in productivity applications and CRM tools such as G-Suite, MixMax, Slack and Airtable
  • Power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, CoSchedule and Instagram
  • Outgoing personality with a friendly disposition
  • Thorough understanding of sales and negotiating techniques
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships
  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
  • High energy and customer-focused approach
  • Analytical mind with strong math skills and keen business senses
  • Ability to travel (20%)
