Cloud Meets the Internet of Things

Internet of Things (IoT) devices do not exist on their own. IoT devices are almost always closely associated with cloud-based services along with multiple other touchpoints. Users access a service through “service avatars.” Service avatars include devices, apps, websites, even paper forms and in-person interactions. Visionary author and founder of Adaptive Path Mike Kuniavsky will discuss how to design devices for multi-touchpoint services, why and when to use specialized devices to create a competitive advantage and how to design different touchpoints simultaneously so each provides specific user value and creates a consistent experience across the service as a whole.
