About the speaker
Michael Klotz is a three-time digital health entrepreneur, consultant and widely recognized leader in digital quality and clinical data exchange (interoperability). He is a big advocate of standardization, streamlining and automation of healthcare processes and is passionate about making FHIR-based interoperability and digital quality measures a reality for the entire US healthcare system. He is the Founder and CEO of Velox Health Metadata, Inc., which enables the seamless exchange of standards-based clinical data securely and in real-time between healthcare stakeholders including payers, providers and patients. Michael also consults with organizations on product, platform and go-to-market strategy. In that role, he has been the leading contributor to NCQA’s Digital Quality Transition Playbook since 2021. Michael has been in Healthcare IT and Digital Health for over 15 years. In 2011, he founded Health Data Vision (now Reveleer), the first true SaaS platform company that streamlined and automated medical records reviews for quality reporting and risk adjustment use cases. Before getting involved in healthcare IT, Michael worked as a consultant implementing large enterprise systems. In 2002 he founded a software consultancy focused on business process automation and business intelligence, which he sold in 2008. During that time, he also worked closely with Microsoft product divisions as an advisor. Michael holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from his native Austria and a business degree from the University of Southern California.
