2020 is almost over which means it’s time to look back on an incredible, albeit unique, year of product excellence. With that, Products That Count is thrilled to announce the theme for the upcoming 2021 Product Awards on March 1-5, 2021. This year’s theme: The Age of Product.
Business in the Age of Product
In an era of rapidly changing markets and fierce competition, companies must quickly evolve into a ‘product-first’ culture if they hope to gain and maintain market leadership. This requires businesses to find ways to accelerate digital capabilities and continue to build products that delight customers.
While market dominance used to be about feet on the ground and sales execution, in an increasingly digital world it’s now driven by digital experiences. These, of course, are the responsibility of product teams, and the best teams are fueled by a mindset of product excellence. So in this new decade: the best product wins.
That’s why we have picked “The Age of Product” as our theme for the 2021 Product Awards.
Achieving product excellence in a year of crisis
Product leaders face curveballs every day, from design nuances to market volatility. Some might say, however, that 2020 has maxed out on its quota.
In the Age of Product, gaining and maintaining market superiority is the goal. This year forced product managers to continually face unique challenges, sometimes a new one each day. While difficult, some companies still managed to find ways to adapt and excel, propelling their product to the top. This is why we’re particularly excited about this year’s awards because, at our core, product leaders love a challenge.
The Product Awards highlight excellence in product leadership by using guidance from the various stages of the product life-cycle. These stages are Conceive, Design, Build, Operate, and Collaborate.
Stay tuned to Products That Count for more updates on the upcoming awards, and relive last year’s awards here. Besides announcing the categories within each stage, this week we’ll also introduce the members of our Awards Advisory Board.
If you already have your favorite product in mind, make sure to nominate them at ProductsThatCount.Com/Awards.
Finally, an amazing thank you to our sponsors of this year’s event: Heap, Bluedot, and Mighty Capital!
