In the past, companies had full control over the software used by their employees. Not anymore. Today’s workforce is increasingly autonomous around software selection and usage. Large companies typically have hundreds, if not thousands of rogue applications in play. In this crazy environment, the challenge of building and selling enterprise software is increasingly complex. Box Senior Product VP Chris Yeh reveals the product tradeoffs that he made over the years and talks about lessons learned. On the one hand: build consumer-grade user experiences and on the other: run the security and compliance gauntlet with corporate IT teams.

About the Speaker

Chris Yeh is Senior Vice President of Product at Box, where he is responsible for product management, platform strategy, partner ecosystem development and third-party innovation. Chris joined Box from Yahoo!, where he was the product lead for Yahoo! Groups, Delicious and other community products. Chris was also the head of the Yahoo! Developer Network, a third-party developer program. Prior to Yahoo! Chris was Vice President of Marketing at Tacit Software, which was acquired by Oracle in 2008. Chris holds an M.B.A. from Wharton and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
