As I reflect on the past most unusual year, I am deeply grateful for your trust and proud of all we’ve accomplished in just over five years.

| “Actions speak louder than words” – Mark Twain

Products That Count has grown into the most influential product acceleration platform. We engage a network of >300,000 product managers and provide the best practices and tools for building great products, all authored exclusively by the best minds in product: practicing product executives and active industry leaders.

In 2020, we continued to serve our community, including by:

  • Doubling down on high-quality virtual programs to provide continuity through the pandemic, including daily cadence of expert-authored webinars, podcasts, newsletters, and articles,
  • Adding membership programs designed to meet the needs of product teams beyond the technology industry, including CBS Interactive, CapitalOne, 1800flowers, and more, and
  • Refreshing our brand in preparation of some big news coming in a few weeks.

| “Excellence is not an act but a habit” – Aristotle

I believe that high performance is non-negotiable and is a requirement to build great products, so we’ve invested heavily in creating a culture of excellence, diversity and transparency both inside our organization and within our network, from Day One.

We offer product leaders unique opportunities to build their brands through programs designed to elevate their profile:

  • A fully-realized digital platform in which to establish themselves as thought leaders across key global markets,
  • Consistent visibility and engagement through an ever-expanding library of high-quality content, delivered direct to executive inboxes weekly, and
  • Active community leadership from levels local to global.

| “Among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver” – Maya Angelou

We also significantly ramped up our philanthropy programs, which picks up to three charities per year, and we match up to $10,000 of all donations made by our network. In 2020, we donated close to $50,000 to Students Rising Above, Miracle Messages, Charity+Water and other causes that support the “products that count the most” and promote diversity in product management. | “It’s such a happiness when good people get together” – Jane Austin

Looking at 2021, we intend to:

  • Make a triumphant, and safe, return to in-person events while simultaneously expanding our global community of product managers through a continued offering of online events.
  • Herald in our third Product Awards, cheering on the very best of an unprecedented year in business with a revamped, virtual rendition of our annual product celebration.
  • Deliver on our promise to provide daily, industry-leading content on product management while further expanding elite mentorship programs.
  • Continue to be a resource of hope and resilience through the approaching months of recovery, and welcome the spirited competition to come with the same fire and drive for product management we’re known for.

No one could have predicted the year that was 2020. However, with the zero now a Number One, it’s a great reminder that in the Age of Product – the best product wins.

Thank you for your trust and cheers to 2021!
