Travis McAshan founded GLIDE, a values-driven digital creative agency, based in Austin, Texas, in 2003—a lifetime ago in internet years. Plenty has changed since then, but his desire to help people who help others remains true. For that reason GLIDE, and Travis by extension, has always sought to work with startups, nonprofits, and difference makers—all passionate, all wanting to do amazing things. It’s about giving great ideas and great organizations the exposure they deserve through delightful online digital experiences that are beautiful, useful, and produce lasting value. Travis attributes the success of GLIDE, and his personal well-being, to working with other passionate folks, choosing projects that everyone can rally behind and fanatically embracing open source platforms like WordPress. Whether it’s a non-profit that distributes care boxes to cancer patients or a devilishly good taco maker, GLIDE has had the privilege and honor to with some of Austin’s most beloved brands. Beyond running a business, Travis dedicates plenty of time and energy to serving his community and raising three energetic kiddos with his wife Kristen. This includes—but is not limited to—serving as a youth leader at church, building a full-on ninja course in his backyard, and traveling the world to invest in relationships with the many talented GLIDE team members living and working abroad. Life is passion, and Travis’ mission is to help people and organizations find and use theirs to positively impact the lives of others.
