Alan is a product manager and designer dedicated to creating software that delivers public services with dignity and ease.  He currently leads product on Code for America’s SNAP team. They have a big mission: to radically improve the experience of applying for and receiving food stamps in California. Prior to that Alan helped found Neighborland, one of the first civic tech startups. He led Community on the product, which aims to radically improve the public engagement process.
